What an invitation contains.
The approved estimate: engineered quantities and labour hours, priced lines, subtotal, GST and total when the client shares the rates, plus the lines the client excluded, listed separately. You see the site’s suburb and postcode. The client’s name, street address and contact details are not shared on the platform.
Four ways to respond.
Revised proposal
Propose a different price, with your reasons.
Request discussion
Ask to talk it through, once you have answered, any time before the client decides.
Decline
Say no early. Declining an invitation does not lower your rating.
Revisions and rounds.
- Revise while the round is open; every revision is a new numbered version
- Each quote can have two rounds
- A five-day cooling period applies before a second round.
After selection.
When a client selects you, acknowledge it from your workspace. From there you deal with the client directly. Declining after being selected is the only thing that lowers your rating.
